Patient Experience

Your patient will be sent an appointment invitation through the contact methods provided when you schedule the appointment. You can learn more about the patient check-in process here

Creating a TeleHealth Appointment

From the Patient List

  1. Swipe left on the patient you wish to meet with and tap "More"
  2. Tap "Create Video Appt."

  3. Confirm your patient's mobile phone or email (at least one contact method is required to send the patient an appointment invite)
  4. Confirm the date, time, and duration of the appointment (if you select Meet Now, you will go directly to your meeting after sending the patient invitation)
  5. (Optional) Enter a note to attach to the appointment invitation

  6. Tap "Send Appointment"

Joining a TeleHealth Appointment

From your MD Coder app

  1. Tap the Schedule tab at the bottom of your MD Coder app

  2. 5 minutes before your appointment's start time, a "Join Meeting" button will appear next to your patient's name. Tap the button to enter the meeting room.

From a desktop browser

  1. Use a computer with a camera and microphone
  2. From a compatible browser, click on your appointment link from your invitation. It should look something like this --- https://meet.mdtech.com/[Meeting Code]
  3. Allow your browser to use your webcam and microphone

Compatible Browsers

Chrome is currently the only compatible browser for conducting MD Coder TeleHealth video chats.

See your TeleHealth Appointment Schedule

From your MD Coder app

  1. Tap the Schedule tab at the bottom of your MD Coder app
  2. Use the calendar bar to scroll between current and past dates (you can tap the month label to expand the entire calendar month)
