Mobile Category Management

With the latest versions of MD Coder Pro (iOS - 1.4.X or above, Android - 1.3.X or above), you can now manage your CPT/ICD code categories directly from your device. 

NOTE

If you do not have any categories, all codes will be in the General (uncategorized) folder and codes will display in an alphanumeric list. As soon as you add a code to a new category, the code results will switch to the Category view.

Manage Codes in Categories

From Global Search

When you add a new Favorite from the Global Search, you will have the option to place the code in an existing Category, a new Category, or leave it uncategorized (General).

If you select 'New Category' you will be able to add a the code directly to a newly created Category.

From Favorites

You can move an existing Favorite from one Category to another by swiping the code to the right and selecting the move button.

You will have the option to place the code in an existing Category, a new Category, or leave it uncategorized (General).

If you select 'New Category' you will be able to add a the code directly to a newly created Category.

Create Categories

From Category Management screen

  1. Navigate to the Category Management screen by tapping on the Category icon in the CPT/ICD favorites list view.

  2. Tap the '+' button and add a name

  3. Tap Save

Note: You must have at least one code in your category before it will appear in your Favorites List

When moving/adding codes

When you add or move a Favorite, you will have the option to place the code in an existing Category, a new Category, or leave it uncategorized (General).

If you select 'New Category' you will be able to add a the code directly to a newly created Category.

Rename/Delete Categories

  1. Navigate to the Category Management screen by tapping on the Category icon in the CPT/ICD favorites list view. 
  2. Swipe the Category to the right/left to delete/rename it

Note: Deleting a Category will move all codes within it into the General (uncategorized) folder
