MD Coder Web Portal Reports
This document will provide a short description & example of the various reports that are available from the MD Coder Web Portal.
Under the Reports tab, you will see 4 sub-tabs: My Reports, Demographics, Charge Capture, and Analysis. If you are using the Dialysis module, you will also have a tab for Dialysis Reports. All reports available in MD Coder can be sent to the My Reports tab to provide quick access to the reports you use most often. On each report selection screen, you will see a button to Add to My Reports.
DEMOGRAPHICS

The report is sorted by Insurance, then by patient:

CHARGE CAPTURE
Charge Report – this report provides both a simple selection by status, and additional/optional filters to allow you to select a date range and set grouping & sorting. Tip: to ensure that all charges appear on the report, select EITHER a date of service or a created date range, but not both.
Date of Service = date patient was seen
Created Date = date the charge was synced to the Web Portal from the phone app
The Status must be selected; to choose all of them, drag down the list. To choose selected status’s, hold the CTRL key down while clicking on the status selections you want.
The report includes a total count of the charges listed:
Charge Workflow
This report provides information on when each charge arrives in each status & how long the charge is in that status. It also tells you who placed the charge in each status. Again with this report, there are additional, optional filters that can be used to set a date range or choose who ‘actioned’ the charge (moved it to a different status).
The end of the report shows a count of patients and charges:
Patient Charge
This report is very flexible, with many options to allow you to see exactly the data you need. Choose the status filter you want to see; set the option to show/hide archived charges, then choose whether you want to mark the charges on the list as printed, filter to choose ONLY charges that have previously been marked as printed, and if you want to see the username of the Rendering Provider. Under the optional filters, you can choose to see charges for specific patient(s) only, set date ranges, locations, rendering provider, choose to see charges ONLY on discharged patients, and set the grouping & sorting options. You can also choose to sort the CPT codes by RVU, show any notes that have been entered, and choose whether or not you want to see any User Defined Fields used by your practice.
The report includes a total line showing a count of patients, charges, physicians and the total RVUs:
