MD Coder Pro offers several new features, highlighted by a redesign of the charge entry screen - in MD Coder Pro, what was formerly two charge entry screens has been unified to make capture charges much faster. In addition to the unified charge entry screen, MD Coder Pro’s new global search function allows you to search your favorites list and the entire ICD10 / CPT library at the same time.

MD Coder Pro is a mobile-only upgrade

• Existing mobile user preferences, profiles, and settings will carry over
• Existing hospital feeds, patient information, attachments, etc. will not be affected
• The Perfect Serve Charge Capture Web Portal interface will remain unchanged

What you need to do to prepare

Starting March 15, 2021, you will able to download MD Coder Pro as a separate application and utilize your existing PerfectServe Charge Capture application in conjunction with MD Coder Pro, allowing you to get comfortable with MD Coder Pro. However, all new updates and features will be applied to MD Coder Pro only. Your current version of PerfectServe Charge Capture will sunset April 1st, 2021; after which, you will be migrated to MD Coder Pro.

If you are a provider, consider downloading and familiarizing yourself with MD Coder Pro on your iOS or Android device to prepare for the transition.

If you are an administrator, consider notifying your providers about the availability of the MD Coder Pro App and update your end user training and documentation.
